OUR STORY

3rd Generation Family-Owned Business

Established in 1994 by Jo and Mark Edwards, one of the first organic food producers in the Bath area.

Castle Farm became a very popular source of supply to local restaurants and wholefood shops selling all they could produce on their 45 acre holding.

With the addition of a farm shop and cafe/restaurant it has become a local landmark attracting people from all around looking for tasty, wholesome food.

With help from their children, and grandchildren the business has grown       over the years and established.

The cafe/restaurant and part of the growing area is now run by Pravin and Leah Neah       and their team who have lifted the food offering to a whole new level.

It all started with 20 calves from which the original suckler herd was formed. Then in 2004 an orchard was planted and two poly tunnels were erected for salads.

Over the next decade the growing area continued to increase with raised vegetable beds, soft fruit bushes and eventually large areas planted under ground cover.

The range continued with bee keeping and edible flowers, veg boxes and free range eggs and eventually a small farm shop and a daytime cafe in the barn.

Eventually in 2018 the cafe/restaurant operation was taken on by a prominent local chef and his wife (Pravin and Leah Nayer). They raised the bar with delicious home cooked food and the rest is history. Castle Farm has now become a destination venue for incredible meals in a wonderful rural setting. In 2020 it was decided to cease beef production after 25 years and focus entirely on the production of organic crops.
