Excellent house for four generations

5/5 Stayed Apr 2017    *****

Valerie E.

A family reunion to celebrate a 90th birthday. The house is such a clever layout that it accommodated eight adults and one young toddler with ease. The kitchen/dining room with an ample lounge area meant that meal preparation could be a communal thing and the further lounge allowed a quiet area if needed.

The heated pool is small but was sufficient to do a few strokes or 'water yoga' in the morning or allow a youngster to have a bit of a splash around using the available water aids. Then the jacuzzi hot tub was an added bonus for the adults to indulge. We found that the insulation was sufficient to allow the heater to be switched off over night and still be plenty warm enough in the morning.

The games available in the garden sheds were not used but would pass time for some youngsters and so too the long garden in which we had a visit from a green woodpecker on the first morning.

The house location is excellent. A lovely walk down to the shore along which further coastal walks go either way. We had some wonderful sunsets and were intrigued with the huge tidal range. You can walk the other way into the village where there is an excellent baker, butcher and epicerie where we had fresh milk ordered by the very friendly and helpful shop assistant/owner.

Into a car and you have not far to the north the spectacular Cote de Granit Rose which must not be missed. Easy access from the Plage St Guirec and walk northeast to Ploumanach and try and imagine what the weirdly shaped rocks look like. We had two excellent lunches at a cafe beside the car park there. Mussels, crevettes or delicious salads then follow with crepes and caramel sauce all washed down with local cider on tap drunk from cups.

Lannion to the south was interesting with the half timbered houses and we also saw some canoe slalom competition which was great fun.

We only had 5 nights (early May) and kept pretty local but it was a lovely holiday.

Un très bon week-end

Nos vacances suberbes à Trelevern!

5/5 Stayed Jun 2013   *****

The best gite we have ever stayed at

We arrived with high expectations from the wonderful pictures, description and reviews and found both the property and the area to be every bit as good as described. The beach and village were truly magical and despite the less than favorable weather we enjoyed walking around and soaking up (literally at times) the breathtaking views. The local shops and bars were very friendly and we had a great day out in Lannion with a flea market and street vendors. The marina at Perros is well worth a visit and also has a large choice of restaurants open until late evening (local ones often close at 9pm). The house itself was like a tardis and although fairly modest looking from the road was massive inside with two full sized living areas and stairs at each end to the separate front and rear bedrooms. Fully equipped with good quality furniture and every conceivable electrical item (fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV's (7), DVD, computer, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, microwave etc.) it made for a very comfortable stay on the days the weather was simply too bad to venture out. The pool and spa were the final icing on the cake and were used every day by the whole family. After 15 years of staying in French gites this is definately the best and is highly recommended!

Very well equipped and comfortable house. Plenty of entertainment for the grandchildren - table tennis, air hockey, boules, etc, but especially the pool, which they loved. The beach was not far away, down a steep hill, with lovely sand and rock pools.

Great house, great location!

A great family holiday

We booked the villa for a family holiday to cater for three generations - grandparents, parents and toddlers. It worked perfectly. The villa sleeping arrangements were ideal, the living accommodation allowed us to cook, eat and relax, giving us plenty of space and room for the babies to play while we kept an eye on them. The pool was much used and appreciated by the younger generations - our 20 month grand-daughter's swimming improved markedly - and the garden and table tennis came into their own for all of us when we weren't at the nearby beaches.

The location also suited us perfectly as the beaches and coastline are stunning and the 10 minute walk there and back was just enough to give us some moderate exercise and get the tired babies to sleep in their push-chairs in need. We were blessed with brilliant weather, which helped!

The people in the village shops and restaurants were welcoming and friendly, which added to the general feel-good factor of the holiday.

Above all we were most impressed by the professional and responsive management service from Steve and Rachel, from the time of our first booking enquiry to the time when we sadly had to leave to come home.

Definitely a great holiday venue that we will give serious consideration to using again should the opportunity arise.

Perfect holiday home

We stayed at this property for two weeks and were delighted to find that it had everything you could wish for in a holiday home - especially the heated indoor pool and hot tub! The free wi-fi was also added bonus.

It was all of a very high standard and we were particularly impressed by the cleanliness of everything. The bedding and towels provided were immaculate. The local shops were open daily and supermarkets were in easy reach.

Unfortunately the weather was very disappointing with only two good days and we were grateful that the heating was so efficient. When the sun did shine the patio was a great place to relax and was well shielded from the sea breezes.

There were some spectacular rugged coastal areas to visit. Trégastel and Perros-Guirec are well worth a visit.

Thanks to Steve and Rachel for looking after us so well.

Our holiday to Trelevern was superb.

The Villa was lovely, the hot tub & swimming pool was an added bonus. Our Children enjoyed playing until late evening as we were very lucky to have nice weather which kept us outside for most of the days.

The Villa was very well equipped & in excellent, clean condition.

We were spoilt with English Television, Internet access and games room too.!

The village was very friendly & all within walking distance from property.

Steve was very helpful & available if needed, he kept the property & gardens very organised.

Thanks again

Trelevern trevlig by.

A most enjoyable stay in a well set up gite.

5/5 Stayed Jul 2016    *****

The gite was very well set up for our three generations and having a second sitting room was great for the younger ones. We loved being a short walk from a beautiful beach and enjoyed our fresh croissants each morning from the boulangerie in the village.

The pool was extremely popular with the grandchildren and the hot tub lovely for the grown ups.

Thank you to Rachel and Steve for keeping everything running smoothly.

Vacances merveilleux à Trelevern!!

5/5 Stayed Jun 2013    *****

What an amazing find. A magical and beautiful area

We were unfamiliar with this area of France but couldn't have been more surprised at how lovely it is. The icing on the cake was this perfect French Villa. It was enormous and every conceivable need was catered for. We found loads of information on the area and had the bonus of a PC in the house to do further research, check routes etc as well as keep in touch with family at home.

The village is very quiet. The beach just 5 minutes walk away and plenty of amenities close by. The coastline is superb and so very beautiful with very fine pale sand and turquoise and azure water. We will cherish the photos we took of a truly magical week in Trelevern. We hope to visit again, and highly recommend this amazing villa to anyone considering it for a break. We only wish that we could have stayed longer. A week went by very quickly.

The house is quite private down a quiet lane with a large garden and plenty of parking. It has a fantastic pool and something for everyone of any age group. The kitchen is fully equipped and the washer/drier a real bonus if the washing can't be pegged out. The barbecue area is great for the long summer evenings and we found the local people to be very helpful and friendly even though our French is very limited. The villa has a very French feel with lovely tiled floors and very comfortable furniture.

We enjoyed reading the other reviews on the site before booking, and were impressed to see that any suggestion from a previous holiday maker had been immediately actioned by the owner and taken forward as a positive improvement.

As others have already commented, the market at Lannion is well worth a visit. We loved Perros Guirec and Paimpol Marinas. The whole coastal route from Lannion is well worth exploring. We found the journey to and from Roscoff quite easy and direct and it didn't take long at all. This villa is highly recommended whatever the size and age group of family.

An absolutely splendid holiday

The whole area is gorgeous - especially in fine weather of which we had lots. Very friendly local people with good shops. The house itself is excellent; every possible facility - all working and very well appointed and maintained! Extremely pleasant and very comfortable rooms. With an unforseen need to contact home the on line PC was a godsend. Would't hesitate to recommend ir warmly to anyone.
